Admissions Procedure
We do not not expect prior study of the Bible. What we look for is intellectual curiosity and evidence of commitment to study at the university level. There are a number of ways to meet application qualifications. We welcome students with Religious Studies at A or AS-level, although this is not mandatory. One of the A levels can be General Studies.
Ability and potential are considered more important than paper qualifications. Most applicants are invited to the Department to be interviewed personally. Students should apply directly through UCAS.
Mature Students
We welcome applications from mature students (21 and over) who are now able to pursue a higher degree or who want to do a second undergraduate degree in an area of paticular personal interest. There are many ways to satisfy the requirements for mature matriculation. You should contact the Department directly for further details.
