BIBSoc: The social side of Biblical Studies
BIBs students have no social life? Get real!
The Department of Biblical Studies has an exceptionally friendly atmosphere, and BIBSoc is the informal extension of that. Events are organised by students, for students, though it is not unusual for staff to join in. Activities include cinema trips, meals, nights out, and the occasional debate over a pint at the University Arms.
Students from across the world choose to pursue further study here in Sheffield, with both taught and research programmes. Many of these postgraduate students also participate in BIBSoc, making it an opportunity for interaction between members of the department at all levels.
