Community

The University of Sheffield was established back in 1905 thanks to donations from the people of Sheffield. We've been doing our best to give something back ever since.

Our scientists and mathematicians go into South Yorkshire schools, helping to enthuse young people about going to university. Our School of Law gives free legal advice to Sheffield people who can't afford it. And our many student volunteers give their time freely for dozens of good causes across the city.

If you are involved in community work on behalf of the University share your story.
