Mark has practiced at a number of companies in London, Berlin and Sheffield since qualifying. He is one of the founders and directors, with Cristina Cerulli, of Studio Polpo, an architectural practice set up as a social enterprise, producing research, initiating projects and working with the third sector.

Mark has also worked for Architype for a number of years, an award winning practice with a strong reputation for sustainable architecture and particular expertise in the design of educational environments. He is currently working with them on a new city-centre Passivhaus church building in Sheffield.

Teaching Activities

Mark has been a design tutor in the first year since 2005, as well as being involved with the M.Arch course where he has acted as mentor for two M.Arch Live Projects and provided construction technology tutorials.
