Stephen combines teaching at Sheffield with private practice. He is based in Manchester.

In practice he has worked across a variety of sectors including ecclesiastical, commercial, housing and community projects. He currently works predominantly in the residential and educational sectors.

He has previously taught second and third year studio and was course director for the Certificate in Professional Practice.

His current teaching responsibility is in MArch Studio and MArch Management and Law.

Current interests are conservation and technology.
