Why did you choose Sheffield?

I chose Sheffield because of its reputation and size. It has all the advantages of a big department in that it provides lots of choice and there are many resources to draw upon. At the same time, the informality and friendliness of the department has been a great source of support. I have been particularly impressed by the accessibility of the academic and support staff. Here, you feel that you fit in straight away.
