Sideshow Science

Sideshow science poster

In the October and February Half Term School Holidays we run hugely popular Sideshow Science events at Weston Park Museum, with up to 1,000 children and adults taking part on any one day.

Whether we're investigating optical illusions, photosynthesis, honeybee dances or clever crows, you're bound to have fun learning something new!

So check out the dates for next half term at www.museums-sheffield.org.uk/museums/weston-park/events and come along and join us, no need to book!

Honeybee dance

How do honeybees find food? We learnt how they communicate through dancing.

Photosynthesis demonstration

What is photosynthesis? We discovered what powers life on earth.

Optical illusion demonstration

How do optical illusions trick our brains? Everyone was amazed at what they saw, or didn't see!
