The University of Sheffield
Department of Animal and Plant Sciences

Alfred Denny Building from Arts Tower car park entrance

How to find the Department

Animal and Plant Sciences is in the Alfred Denny Building in the heart of the Western Bank part of the University campus (square D3 / building 111 on the University Campus map).

It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the railway station, and 10-15 minutes by tram, bus or taxi.  The University tram stop (take the 'Blue route' tram to Malin Bridge from the station) is 2-3 min walk from APS.  The 120 bus, which runs from the transport interchange next to the train station, stops on Glossop Road, opposite the Education Department (D4 / 138 on the University Campus map), which is also 2-3 mins walk from APS.  If travelling by taxi, then ask to be dropped at the Arts Tower car park, on Western Bank.

Alfred Denny Building entrance

The Department entrance is at the eastern end of the building. The porter will be able to direct you from there, or take the lift, or stairs, from the foyer up to D-Floor, where the Departmental Office is located.

Although there is a car park next to the Alfred Denny Building, please be aware that it is for permit holders only.  If you need to drive to the Department, then please contact us in advance so a visitors' parking permit can be arranged.
