Making a gift to the University of Sheffield
Thank you for your interest in making a gift to your University. Support from alumni, staff and friends is always welcome and appreciated. However you choose to show your support, it is worth remembering that the University of Sheffield has charitable status (Inland Revenue exemption no. X 1089). This means that gifts made by UK income tax payers can be made tax effectively. Simply complete the donation form and the gift aid declaration and the Inland Revenue will increase your gift by 25p for every £1.00 that you give. If you pay tax at the higher rate, you may reclaim 18% of the gift value yourself through your income tax return. This can enable a donor paying tax at the higher rate to make a larger gift at no additional cost. Single or regular giftsCheques should be made payable to "The University of Sheffield" and sent to the Development and Alumni Relations Office at 267 Glossop Road, Sheffield S10 2HB.Please print and complete the donation form, which can be used for one-off gifts or standing orders, and return the whole form to us at the Development and Alumni Relations Office. |
