Alumni Foundation Report – Sheffield Sabrecats Cheerleading
We would like to thank the Alumni Foundation for the funding that we have received. We have used it towards the purchase of gym mats, and this has enabled us to practice harder moves than previously, where we would usually have to have half the squad 'spotting' (standing around with arms in the air to catch a person falling!). Our flyers (the people in the air) now feel more confident to try harder moves, and we now have every flyer able to perform an 'extended liberty', a move high in the air that the previous year only one girl was able to perform.
We have advertised the Alumni Foundation on our space in the Students' Union, and have purchased drinking tops, for which we will be ordering badges with your logo on in the next week. We thought that this would gain better exposure than the tracksuit tops, as we will wear these when out training and also at games.
