Paris Drinks Reception

Sheffield alumni from France and surrounding countries enjoyed a drinks reception at the British Ambassadors Residence in Paris in October. The event was hosted by The Deputy Head of Mission Mr Ajay Sharma.

Over 130 people attended the reception, which gave guests an opportunity to catch up with friends and to reconnect with staff from the University surrounded by the elegant back drop of the residence in central Paris.

The Deputy Head of Mission Mr Ajay Sharma welcomed guests to the residence. Speeches were heard from the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Keith Burnett, who updated guests on developments at the University, and International Students’ Union Officer Alex Erdlenbruch, who spoke about his experiences of being a Sheffield student and the ongoing developments at the award winning Students’ Union.

The evening was a great success and was a welcome opportunity for the University to build links with our European alumni.
