Aerospace Engineering with a Foundation Year

Who is this for?

Most engineering and science students enter the University with mathematics and/or science qualifications at A level or its equivalent. However, the University is also keen to recruit those of you who are strongly committed to a degree in engineering or science, but who do not have the usual background. For you, the University offers a range of four and five year degree courses with a Foundation Year.

International students may wish to consider foundation studies at Sheffield International College (see below for further details).

What Will I Learn?

The Foundation Year provides an appropriate grounding in the subjects needed for progression to level one of the degree course and will normally consist of modules in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. In some cases you may also take modules in other subjects such as a modern language.

International Students

International students may find Sheffield International College (SIC) a more attractive and cost-effective alternative to the Foundation Year. The SIC provides both academic and English language studies. For further information visit:
