As a student with us you'll use the latest equipment and technologies. Our facilities include a dedicated state-of the-art computer laboratory, two new undergraduate teaching laboratories, a robotics laboratory and a flight simulator.

We're committed to giving you the best experience possible. We use student feedback to improve our teaching and update the modules on offer. We run a mentoring scheme to help you settle in and make the most of your time here. And throughout your course you'll have a personal tutor to give you advice and guidance.

On top of this you'll benefit from innovative teaching approaches and technologies. For example we've developed an out-of-hours web laboratory and a variety of web-based approaches to give you extra support.

And of course we make sure that what we teach is based on the latest thinking. We regularly introduce new modules in response to current developments in research, and demands in the careers market.

Our staff are approachable and enthusiastic – we want you to reach your full potential and have fun getting there. You'll be able to mix with students from all years of your degree and throughout the Engineering Faculty by getting involved in projects, student societies and competitions. And although we're a large department, you'll often study in small groups, so you'll quickly get to know the people on your course.
