Course Structure

Degree Structure

Degree Structure A common first year provides the necessary grounding in knowledge, techniques and skills needed for higher level study whilst still allowing you the opportunity to change degree streams if you wish.

In the second year you will build on what was learned in year one, and begin to specialise via your module choices.

The third year brings opportunities to specialise and to study in greater depth. It is also the year when BEng students apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired to individual final year projects and MEng students strengthen their teamworking and development skills via challenging group projects.

For MEng students, the fourth year provides advanced level study choices coupled with high-level practical application of skills in an extended project
