As the only department in the UK that is dedicated to Control and Systems Engineering and one of the largest departments in Europe, one of our core goals is to train the next generation of world-class researchers in this field, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel as independent researchers and professionals.

Among our staff is one of the most cited researchers in the world (ranked fourth in the UK and tenth in Europe) and two Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
