Providing you meet a few simple conditions, we guarantee the majority of students a room in University accommodation.

Undergraduates

You are guaranteed a study bedroom in University or partnership accommodation during your first year if you:

Are a full-time student coming alone to Sheffield for the full academic year (23 September 2013 to 14 June 2014)
Make the University of Sheffield your firm choice if applying through UCAS
Accept an offer of an academic place on a full-time course at the University of Sheffield before 6 July 2013
Hold an unconditional firmly accepted offer at the University of Sheffield and apply for accommodation by 31 August 2013

Postgraduates

You are guaranteed a study bedroom in University or partnership accommodation during your first year if you:

Are a full-time student coming alone to Sheffield for the full academic year (23 September 2013 to 14 June 2014)
Accept an offer of a place at the University of Sheffield on an award-bearing course by 6 August 2013
Apply for accommodation and return the confirmation form no later than 11 August 2013

_{You will receive the confirmation form once you submit your application. Return the form only when you have fulfilled the requirements of your academic offer and obtained a Visa (if required). If you are a sponsored student you must have received confirmation from your sponsor that funding is available before returning the confirmation form.}

Study abroad and full-time Erasmus students

Students coming to Sheffield on a Study Abroad programme or full-time Erasmus programme are guaranteed a single-occupancy study bedroom in University or partnership accommodation, if you:
